Just because I am not posting about chocolate everyday does not mean I'm not eating it. Today's bar is the Voll-Nuss which translates to Whole Hazelnuts. The chocolate is not very dark, so I'm not sure I would call this a dark bar, but it is not milk chocolate either. So it is somewhere in between.
I'm not a huge fan of fruit or nuts in chocolate, so this would not have been my first choice if I were buying a bar. Hazelnuts seem to be as common in Germany as peanuts are in the US, so they are a common "crunch" in German and perhaps European foods. I guess I need to go to Europe and do a chocolate tour. The chocolate was of course good and the hazelnuts give a good crunch to the bar, and they do have a different flavor than peanuts.

Definitely true in my experience too... Europeans like their hazelnut chocolate. Personally, I can take it or leave it. Come to Kyiv and experience an array of chocolate choices :). It's yummy! I'm so behind on your blog. Looks like you are having an awesome summer with your exchange student!
