Chocolove - Almonds & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate

As most of you know, I don't care for nuts in Chocolate, but since I really like Sea Salt in Chocolate, especially with caramel, I had to give this one a try. I really like this bar alot, in fact I would definitely get it again. The crunch of the almonds, which are not too big and are dry roasted, and the bit of the salt goes really well with the dark chocolate, which in this bar is very mild. In fact, the chocolate is almost a background note in comparison to the other flavors in the bar. The chocolate is smooth, and so it tends to melt on my fingers.

Recommended.

Cote d'or Lait-Melk

This is a Belgian Milk Chocolate bar, it comes basically in two bars in a single package, each bar is foil wrapped. The texture of the bar is smooth, like most milk chocolates, but not a smooth as the Dairy Milk bar. It has a little grit to it. The bar also does not seem to melt as quickly as other milk chocolates. I can actually hold it in my fingers without it getting all over them. I like the flavor of this bar, not to sweet and not waxy.

Deer in the Field

We usually have deer out in the field, but with dry dry dry winter and spring we have had so far, we haven't seen them but a couple of times.  I was really surprised after the rain this week, to see two out in the tall grass.  Can you see them?  The picture above she is in the lower left corner.

In the lower picture, there are two in the tall grass middle of the picture toward the right hand side..... (you may need to click on the pictures to make them bigger)

Blanxart Chocolate Negro

It has been awhile since I have found a new bar, but recently I was able to find a new ones that are new to me.

Today's bar is the Blanxart Chocolate Negro bar, which is a dark chocolate bar from Spain. It has a good chocolate flavor and a firm, almost hard, texture. I enjoyed this bar a lot.

more peanut flips????

When we were last in Longmont, we went to a "real" grocery store.  OK, really I just mean a bigger one with fresh produce etc....ours in town are very small....

Anyway, I found these, a very small bag, but I had to try them....

They really are a product of Israel.   They were good, a little different texture than the ones from Germany, but I enjoyed trying them.

How is it that every country but ours seems to be able to produce these yummy peanut snacks?

Rockies Game

Last week Saturday we took my parents to the Rockies Game (their annual Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts).  They played the LA Dodgers...we got there early and it was just a little cloudy while we watched the teams warm up.

Then the clouds really started coming in....
But we were covered....and so were "safe" from the rain.  I am not sure why I am not smiling here, but I didn't know Kevin was taking a picture.
After awhile the sun came out and it warmed up.....In fact, the shaved ice guy walked around....

This picture is for Florian (remember the ice guy never came close when we went to the game..)

It was a good game and we had fun, but the Rockies Lost :-(
