My camera's view screen on the back no longer works... was thinking about getting a new camera but wanted to wait a bit longer...
Any recommendations? I was thinking a Canon or Sony and I want 4x optical zoom or more and at least 10 megapixels.
We can still take pictures, but can't review them until we get home.

I'm not sure you get much value out of the higher megapixel capability unless you go with a DSLR. It sounds nice though. :)
My mother-in-law has a Sony with the Carl Zeiss 5X optical zoom. It took some wonderful pictures in Africa.
I'm pretty sure I just want a smaller camera since I want have something that I can just grab a take with me.
I was considering the Canon G9, but I think it is kinda big, but otherwise a really nice point and shoot camera.
I'll look for the Sony
CANON...all the way! Go with one of the Powershots, I have had 4 of them and they are by far the best cameras I have ever had. Stay far far away from Nikon, imnsho, they suck,
